Dermal Fillers at Ethos Spa

We offer a wide range of dermal filler that meets requirements of wide range of our patients. Some want more temporarily and more affordable solution while others seek for a more permanent solution, regardless of its price. Moreover, some of our patients are concerned about natural components of the filler that are already found in our body. Some prefer their fillers to be absorbable while others dare to make the decision to go with a non-absorbable filler. Besides their own wishes and desires, there are fillers that work better with different conditions treated. For example, some work miracles with wrinkles and fine lines, while others are used to obtain face symmetry, fill in scars, or get a plumber and more defined lips. The usage of dermal fillers is getting more and more diverse. Some of the fillers that we offer at Ethos Spa are Juvederm, Bellafill, Volbella, and Sculptra.

Juvederm

Juvederm is dermal filler in gel consistency that is consisted of hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic acid is in fact naturally occurring in human skin as a natural sugar. It is FDA approved for use in the nasolabial folds which are lines from nose to the mouth. It has off-label use on other areas such as lips. The Juvederm effect can last up to nine months.

 Volbella

Volbella is the newest Hyaluronic Acid Filler available at Ethos Spa, Skin and Laser Center. It is smoother than Juvederm and delivers more natural results. Volbella is used for lip contouring, to add volume and fullness to lips, to smooth out vertical creases around lips, to achieve face symmetry, to treat marionettes lines, as well to smooth out wrinkles and lines around lips. Besides the area around lips, Volbella is used to treat tear trough depressions. It lasts up to a year.

 Bellafill

Bellafill is dermal filler mostly used for smile lines, wrinkles, and acne scars. It is non-absorbable like other fillers. The effects of Bellafill last up to 5 years or longer. The only way to reverse the effect of Bellafill is surgical removal of collagen. Bellafill is not an option for lip augmentation. There are temporarily side effects that usually go away within one week after the injection. Those side effects include redness, swelling, bruising, itching, and tenderness. There are less common side effects that include rash and lumps around the site of injections.

Sculptra

Sculptra is injectable stimulator that is used as a replacement for collagen lost in the process of aging. It is used for deep facial wrinkles and folds, smile lines, marionette lines, and chin wrinkles. It is expected to last as long as two years. Sculptra stimulates collagen growth, which gives fullness to wrinkles and folds. Therefore, it is not considered as a filler but rather as a stimulator. With Sculptra, results become visible gradually over a period of time, as Sculptra treatments trigger the process of restoration. It can last up to two years. It is naturally absorbed by our bodies; therefore, it is safe to use. The most common side effects include redness, bruising, itching, tenderness, swelling, moderate pain, and lumps.
