Radiesse

Radiesse is temporary filler used for wrinkle and fold reduction such as nasolabial folds and to correct the signs of facial fat loss (lip atrophy) for people with human immunodeficiency virus (HIV). There are common side effects of Radiesse such as bruising, swelling, inflammation, redness, small bumps, itching, pain, skin discoloration, scarring, swelling, tenderness, or mild bleeding at the injection site and surrounding areas.

The amount of Radiesse to be used for treatment depends on the severity of the wrinkles. Patients may need a series of treatments. It is very important to inform your doctor about all medications and supplements that you use as the product may interact with other drugs.  However, it is still unknown if Radiesse is safe to use during pregnancy, or while breastfeeding. The reported complications for facial injections may include vision abnormalities, blindness, stroke, temporary scabs, or permanent scarring of the skin. If ever you notice changes in your vision, signs of getting a stroke, white appearance of the skin, or any other unusual pain during or recently after the treatment, you should inform your health care practitioner as soon as possible.
